Duplays was founded in 2007, to bring strangers together through the spirit of competition, by organizing sports leagues and teams for a myriad of recreational activities aiming to increase public health and shatter segregation through sport. Today, we embark on not just organizing high-quality sports experiences, but building best-in-class multi-sport facilities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Since teaming up with Yeadon Domes US in 2019, Duplays have become the sole distributor of air-supported domes across the region offering a turn-key solution for sports facilities. Yeadon has been building air-supported domes for over forty years with the purpose of increasing playing time for as many people as possible. 

We’re on an exciting and groundbreaking mission, to increase the public's participation in recreational activities. Our facilities, at 7,000 sq. meters plus, will be home to various sports, offering a temperature-controlled, open space for individual customers, academies, and federations to play the games they love. 

As a result, we are hiring for a Handy man to take care of the maintenance of the Facility. The role is an important position that will work cross-functionally between Facilities, Operations, and our vendor network including cleaners, technicians, and security.

You will be a valuable resource and a key part of the team to assist in creating a program establishing department policies and procedures while responsible for project/service execution.

Because this position involves direct contact with both internal and external parties, the individual must have a professional demeanor and be able to communicate and interact with people at every level, including upper management.

Everyone on the team needs to wear many hats and work effectively in a highly collaborative, start-up environment as we develop this new class of customer experiences.

Our ideal candidate is insanely talented and super detail-oriented. You consistently manage stakeholder expectations, schedules, assets, and scopes. You will work closely with Operations, Construction, and Dome technicians along with external partners to ensure the facility is inviting, safe and clean for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day facility management services including inventory management through ERP system, pest control management, Sports Centre security, etc. in accordance with the annual maintenance contracts
  • Conduct monthly quality control audits, prepare inspection reports and submit all relevant documentation to HQ for verification and invoicing by the finance department
  • Review service contracts and inventory supplies 
  • Ensure that FM & HK staff follow 100% compliance in grooming, appearance, uniform and ensure no complaints from CX & Quality team during monthly quality inspection/audit
  • Work alongside the projects department and fit-out contractors during the construction of the Sports Centre and report to the management on the development of the project
  • In charge of pre-mobilization, event set up, and post-event dismantling for an offline activation event
  • Ensure stock matches every center and warehouse

Person Specification:
  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities and/or construction management
  • Knowledge of BMS systems and HVAC 
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Fluency in English, with excellent listening, verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel, travel may be required; sometimes with short notice

Additional:
  • Construction experience and ability to read drawings are advantageous
  • MEP background is advantageous
  • High attention to detail, including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Mechanical ability

Salary:
Up to SAR 7,000 per month

    Duplays was founded on a simple observation. People move to a new city and find it difficult to connect with others to play the sports they left behind but still love to play. We wanted to change that, so we started Duplays (yes a play on words for “Dubai plays”), as an online platform that would connect sports enthusiasts with sport leagues that we’d organize across the Emirate. We found the venues, hired the referees, and created teams and schedules. We did this at scale, across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, each night, every night to become the UAE’s largest provider of adult, participatory sport. Our mission today is no different. We want to be the sport venues of choice for people to play sports. Today, we embark on not just organizing high-quality sport experiences but building best-in-class sport facilities at scale across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, starting with our two facilities in Dammam and Jeddah launching in 2022.
