Duplays was founded in 2007, to bring strangers together through the spirit of competition, by organizing sports leagues and teams for a myriad of recreational activities aiming to increase public health and shatter segregation through sport. Today, we embark on not just organizing high-quality sport experiences but building best-in-class multisport facilities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

We’re working on an exciting and groundbreaking mission, to increase the public's participation in recreational activities. Our facilities, at 7,000 sq. meters plus, will be home to various sports, offering a temperature controlled, open space for individual customers, academies and federations to play the games they love. 

As a result, we’re seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to work across all elements of the marketing mix and be dedicated to helping grow awareness of our facilities across the region. 

In this role you will lead and manage the development, delivery, and optimization of digital media to drive engagement and performance. 
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strategic thinker and motivational team player. You’ll have excellent communication and negotiation skills, analytical and IT skills, as well as prior experience working in a start-up environment. 
This role would be ideal for someone looking to take on all aspects of Marketing and help build and design their team as the company grows. 
This is a dual location role, with the first 3 months of the role based in our facility in Dammam before returning to Jeddah for the second opening. 

  • To lead and develop marketing strategy including outreach plans to increase sales and awareness of the brand
  • Generate initiatives to drive sales, brand awareness and press, which will work in line with the company’s budgets and objectives
  • Creative marketing and press initiatives and campaigns working closely with the design team 
  • Proactive outreach to local businesses, relevant corporates, residents and local markets to develop the businesses core
  • Weekly and monthly review and measurement of marketing initiatives calculating potential ROI against budget
  • Develop key partners and innovative collaborations in order to acquire new audiences and drive press
  • Manage and oversee the digital strategy working with the central team. This would include search advertising, social media and targeting, pro-active database development in association with the Operations team.

Other Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for implementation of the marketing plan (event logistics, collateral, online and offline communication) with the support of the Marketing Executive
  • Own and drive the digital marketing strategy across PPC, Paid Social, Programmatic, Digital PR, SEO, CRM, Email and Organic Social 
  • Regular updating of the marketing calendar and individual facility marketing plan 
  • Working closely with our client on efficient maintenance of the webpage and booking engine ensuring they are up to date at all times and implementing changes to reflect activities / promotions in the facility with the support of the Marketing Executive and/or Operations Team 
  • Submitting monthly content briefs to the Marketing Executive 
  • To ensure all marketing and sales material is up to date, and reflective of the business in terms of quality; for both online and hard copies. Ensure that marketing and sales material is readily available in appropriate channels 
  • Directing any photo shoots and ensuring that there is up to date imagery of the the facility in all marketing information
  • Ensuring promotions and activities are communicated across all departments within facilities particularly Operation team members
  • Support and facilitate Head Office group marketing projects
  • Reporting and analysis on campaign and channel performance and presenting findings back to the Head of Operations.

About You:
  • A strong B2C background - ideally in the Leisure, Hospitality, Sports or Entertainment industries
  • 4+ years experience in pro-active marketing activities 
  • Broad digital marketing channel knowledge - PPC, Paid Social, SEO, CRM/Email, Programmatic, Affiliate, Organic Social and Website
  • Previous agency management and team management experience
  • Budget management experience
  • Google Ads and Social Media platform knowledge
  • Strong Analytics experience
  • Ability to project manage whilst multitasking a variety of mediums in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Ability to develop close effective relations with both internal and external partners
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team according to changing strategies and situations
  • Ability to innovate within context of current conditions and future strategies
This is a new role within our organization so the role may adjust slightly as it develops.

    Duplays was founded on a simple observation. People move to a new city and find it difficult to connect with others to play the sports they left behind but still love to play. We wanted to change that, so we started Duplays (yes a play on words for “Dubai plays”), as an online platform that would connect sports enthusiasts with sport leagues that we’d organize across the Emirate. We found the venues, hired the referees, and created teams and schedules. We did this at scale, across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, each night, every night to become the UAE’s largest provider of adult, participatory sport. Our mission today is no different. We want to be the sport venues of choice for people to play sports. Today, we embark on not just organizing high-quality sport experiences but building best-in-class sport facilities at scale across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE, starting with our two facilities in Dammam and Jeddah launching in 2022.
